Ruff Beginnings is a non profit, no-kill animal rescue
located in Boca Raton, FL. We are dedicated to saving
the lives of innocent dogs, puppies, cats and kittens.
Thousands of pets are euthanized every year simply
because there are not enough loving homes for all of
them. Ruff Beginnings does all it can to provide
Happy Endings to as many animals as possible. We
strive to educate the community about the importance
of spaying and neutering their pets. By reducing
the amount of litters being born each year, we are
also reducing the amount of euthanasia’s each year.
We also believe that by educating adults and children
about proper care and respect for animals, we will
eliminate some of the unnecessary acts of cruelties
against pets in the United States. Once an animal is
rescued by Ruff Beginnings it is guaranteed a home for
life. |

Ruff Beginnings was founded in 2006. We were
incorporated in 2007, and we are in the process of getting
our 501(c)(3) Not-Profit Organization status. The need for
more safe places for unwanted, abused and orphaned pets
had become so enormous, we decided that we needed to do
something to help as many of these animals as possible.
We gathered the information that we needed to start a
rescue and decided that even though it was going to be a
lot of work, if we could save even one life it would all
be worth it. We depend solely on private donations and
fundraising events.
Our services include taking in
surrendered pets from their current owners, space
permitting. As well as serving as an outreach for people
who need to find new homes for their pets. The current
owner can keep the pet in their home until we can find a
new owner. This is the ideal situation if someone is
faced with having to give their pet up for adoption.
This will make the pets transition into a new home much
easier, rather than if they go from their current home to
a foster home to a new permanent home. It also gives the
current owners peace of mind that their pet is getting a
good home. We rescue animals from euthanasia at local
animal care and control, abused, neglected, and orphaned
animals within our community as well as the surrounding
areas, and we find each of them new, loving forever homes. |
